St.Margaret’s Road Project

Based not far from the City Centre in Stoke area of Coventry, this scheme comprises of 15 spacious self-contained 1 bed room flats which are partly furnished and offer a high standard of accommodation, with medium level support from staff on project. Within the development service users have access to the following shared facilities; a laundry room, large communal lounge, rear garden with parking facilities. The scheme is well served by local shops and other amenities and public transport services provide easy access to other parts of Coventry. The project accommodates service users aged between 16-25 who require:

• Supported accommodation
• Help preparing for independent living, and are
• Young people at risk or living care
• Young homeless people

The range of support to service users will cover the following areas:

• Help in setting up and maintaining home or tenancy
• Developing domestic and life skills
• Developing social skills/behaviour management
• Advice, advocacy and liaison
• Help in managing finances and benefit claims
• Emotional support, counselling and advice
• Help in gaining access to other services
• Help in establishing social contacts and activities
• Help in finding other accommodation
• Help in maintaining the safety and security of the flat
• Liaison with other agencies including Social Services, Probation etc
