The youth and community team work with hundreds of young people aged 8 -19 years old every week.Work is currently carried out at three venues, the Tooth in Willenhall, Peoples’ Place in Stoke Aldermoor and Priddy Place in Pridmore.

The aim of the team is to develop activities which stimulate and challenge young people in an environment that enables them to take on responsibility and find a sense of achievement.

Various courses have been run over the past year at the Tooth, including Healthy eating, Self Esteem, Music, Media, and Young Leadership, with general activities including football, arts and crafts, fishing, ice skating and paint balling.

Activities at the People Place include job club, clinic in a box, music/video projects, football and youth club.
In the evening the facilities are used by a range of young people, with a full programme of activities during the school holidays. These activities are funded by PAYP, NSF and Big Lottery

Work is also carried out with young people who, for various reasons, are currently out of the education system. For these young people the team provides a flexible education system in an informal setting, providing them with the right chances to get back into education or training.

For details of the opening hours and the activities on offer please contact the Youth and Community office at Priddy Place on 02476 682406 to talk to one of the youth and community workers or Shaun Donnelly, Community Programme and Development Manager.
